Service Technician

Position Title: Service Technician
Department: Service
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Full-Time

Position Summary:

• To service and repair all makes and models of products, as well as door related equipment, distributed at PS GARAGE DOORS of South Dakota
• Perform related shop operations for the products we service
• This position requires a cooperative attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and co-workers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Performing repairs on all residential & commercial jobs
• Installation on all residential & commercial jobs
• Read and interpret construction drawings, work orders, and related information
• Ability to troubleshoot operating errors and determine a solution
• Equipment maintenance and other duties related to quality control
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to participate in the rotating 24-hour on-call service system
• Occasional overnight travel may be required

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Background in service/repair, installation, or carpentry is beneficial, but not required
• Ability to use measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools
• Skill in reading, writing, and math relative to construction drawings, work orders, timecards, shipping reports, and other job-related functions
• Must have basic carpentry skills and mechanical knowledge relative to building construction and/or manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ascent Service Scheduling Software experience, knowledge in parts supervision, and warehouse management is beneficial
• Experience in welding (electric stick) and/or gas cutting torches (plasma, acetylene)
• Knowledge of electrical circuits, pneumatic circuits, & hydraulic circuits
• Forklift certification
• CDL

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and walk with loads up to 150 lbs (with assistance) and climb ladders and scaffolding while carrying loads up to 75 lbs.
Commercial Installer

Position Summary:

To install all makes and models of products, as well as door related equipment, distributed by PS GARAGE DOORS of South Dakota . Perform related shop operations for the products we service. This position requires a cooperative attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and co-workers. Travel is involved, and occasionally overnight trips may be required. This position requires a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to participate in a 24 hour on-call service system. Position is unsupervised at all times.

Accounting Clerk

Position is Part -Time (20-25 Hours Per Week)

Position Summary:

Responsible for proper entry and payment of invoices to PS Garage Doors of South Dakota vendors and assisting in generating Invoices for PS Garage Doors of South Dakota customers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Process Accounts Payable transactions
• Perform coding of vendor invoices and expense reports to proper accounts and cost centers
• Review vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to entry to accounting software
• Enter customer order information and generate customer invoices
• Interact with customers to resolve outstanding payment issues and ensure collection
• Verify customer information is correct and up to date
• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Maintains strong internal accounting controls by adhering to company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, telephone assistance when necessary

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• Intermediate to advanced skill level using Microsoft Office suite applications
• Experience using accounting software applications
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and work accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-5 Years work experience in an accounting position
